Your password should remain secure, never writing it down. Try these tips for a more secure password.
- Change your passwords often.
- Use a password manager.
- Keep your passwords to yourself, never reveal it to others.
- Use different passwords for each of your accounts.
- Your passwords should never contain your name.
- Consider spelling incorrectly.
- Use different passwords from previous passwords.
- Try creating a passphrase. Something familiar to you; using the first letter of each word as a unique password.
- Use mixed case.
- Replace letters with special characters.
A complex password is more secure, making it harder for a brute force attack. A brute force attack uses automated software to generate many consecutive guesses of your password.
