Welcome to King’s!
There are a few things you should know about how to get around here using technology, and we summarized them here. The points in this guide are essential for you to keep in contact and up to date with various parts of your life here at King’s. We’ve compiled this list of resources and ranked them in order of importance for people new to the campus.
Part 1: Establish your account
- New users are provided with a username and ID number
- Your King’s username is first & last name @kings.edu
- For example: Alexandra Smith = alexandrasmith@kings.edu
- Joe Average = josephaverage@kings.edu
- ID numbers can be found on your student ID card or through correspondence with an office you may be in touch with.
- Your King’s username is first & last name @kings.edu
- On-campus, you can log in to a computer with the username and ID number, then you’ll be prompted to change your password to something you’ll remember and be comfortable with.
- Off-campus users can do the same thing here: http://go.kings.edu/account
Part 2: Log in to your King's email
Once you have your account established, you can login to email. On the MyKing’s page, at the top of the menu on the left, follow the link for King’s email. To log in to email, use your King’s username and password from Part 1. Want email on your phone? Get the Outlook app for Apple or Android.
Part 3: Log in to WebAdvisor
WebAdvisor is most essential for a new-comer because it’s how to obtain your schedule. After that, you have a variety of other things you can do throughout the semesters ahead: get your grades, register for classes, view financial aid information, find semester invoice amounts, print unofficial transcript, and find work study timecard reporting and pay stubs.
- On MyKing’s, click WebAdvisor on the left, then click the big Login to WebAdvisor button.
- After the page fully loads, click the I’m New to WebAdvisor link on the bottom-right of the page.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to establish a temporary password, which will be sent to your email address.
- When you log in with the temporary password, you will create a new one. Pay attention to the password policy, as it uniquely requires passwords over 6 and under 24 characters, requires at least one letter and number, and cannot contain @.
- On future visits to the site, if you forget your password, click the What’s my password? link on the bottom left and follow a similar procedure to reset your WebAdvisor password.
- Once you’re logged in to WebAdvisor, click the blue STUDENTS button on the right side, then look for the My Class Schedule link (towards the bottom of the right-hand column), and choose the appropriate semester’s schedule you’re looking for and click Submit to view your schedule.
If you forget your WebAdvisor password in the future, just repeat the I’m New to WebAdvisor process again. No need to email the Help Desk.
Part 4: Enroll in Emergency Notification System
ENS is essential for keeping up to date with the latest security concerns and school closures.
New users should download free app that is available on Google Play Store or the App Store.
Part 5: Sign in to Moodle
Moodle is our Learning Management System and many of your instructors will use it to distribute files, collect assignments, give quizzes, and much more. You’ll have access to Moodle courses when classes begin. Brand new students will not be able to log in until closer to the start of courses.
- On MyKing’s, click Moodle on the left menu.
- Login to Moodle by clicking the blue Sign in with Office 365 button and your King’s username and password from Part 1.
- Each course you take will have some Moodle presence and if you make changes to your schedule those changes will be reflected in Moodle within no more than six hours. Changes are processed 3 times, daily, at 4AM, 2PM, and 7PM.
- If you’re having Moodle trouble, contact moodle@kings.edu.
Part 6: Access Cloud Storage
As part of your email account, you have access to 1 terabyte (a lot) of cloud storage on OneDrive. Access OneDrive here and begin uploading your files.

- As part of your email, you can download, install, and run Microsoft Office on up to 5 devices. Find out more here.
